Chain of Love for Human and Environmental Development (CoLHED) has started implementing a 34 months project entitled ”Rehabilitation of Agricultural and Rural Water Resources Affected by War and Drought in Three woredas of East Tigray” with budget of 897,055 Swiss Frank. The project is funded by a long term partner, Ferster Foundation, which is based on Buchs, Switzerland. The project was entered in to effect after an agreement signed between Tigray Region Bureaus of Finance and Resource Coordination, Water and Energy and Agriculture and Natural Resources. The project cover Atsbi, Subha Saesi and Tsaeda Emab districts/woredas and the main activities include climate-smart conservation practice; rehabilitation of irrigation infrastructure and improving practice; provision of veterinary drugs and rehabilitation of vet clinics; economic empowerment of women through shoats and poultry; and maintenance of hand dug wells.
